Physical properties: colorless to white, smellless and tasteless crystal or crystalline powder, acicular crystal (water). Melting point , 276-278?CC284-286?CC[]13D-13.1?C (C=5.12C1N hydrochloric acid). It dissolves easily in diluted hydrochloric acid and formic acid, soluble in water (65mg/44ml), and almost insoluble in ethanol, benzene, chloroform, and ethyl acetate.

Functions and Applications: This product is one of the precursors during the In vivo synthesis of noradrenalin, dopamine, and so on. It can increase the level of dopamine in cerebral tissue. Parkinsonism is caused by the lack of dopamine in cerebral tissue, so this product can be used in the clinical treatment of parkinsonism. It can alleviate the symptom (outsourced dopamine cannot pass Blood-Brain Barrier, so it cannot be used directly). It is also effective upon similar symptoms caused by manganese and cobalt toxicosis. It has certain curative effect on liver stupor caused by acute liver failure.
