Lime, one of the most prolific and versatile chemicals in the world and suitable for most of the sectors like steel industry, water treatment, plastering, agriculture, soil stabilization, mining industry, ready mix concrete, pulp & paper industry, etc. The environmental chemicals are manufactured in Malaysia and Singapore plants.
In water treatment, lime is used by many municipalities to improve water quality, especially for water softening and arsenic removal. Hydrated lime is also widely used to adjust the PH of water to prepare it for further treatment. Lime is also used to combat "red water" by neutralizing the acid water, thereby reducing corrosion of pipes and mains from acid water.
