Billets for steel bar mill:
Sizes - 130 x 130 mm to 150 x 150 mm ( solid squire )
Length of billet - 6 meters to 12 meters
Chemical composition :
Carbon - 0.18 to 0.23 %
Silicon - 0.20 to 0.30 %
Manganese - 0.70 to 1.00 %
Phosphorus- less than 0.045 %
Sulphur - less than 0.045 %
Chromium- 0.10 % max
Nickle - 0.10 % max
Tolerances:
Tolerance in sq. Size - + / - 5 mm
Flexibility or bend - less than 10 mm/ metre
Total flexibility or bend - less than 100 mm ( in 12 metres )
