CATAL CHEMICAL CO.,was established in 1978.Its products which are first commercialized are CATADRY paint drying catalysts, for example, cobalt, manganese, lead and other driers. Then the commodities that are put on the market are a series of CATAL accelerators of unsa-turated polyester and CATACOBAL organo-and inorgano -cobalt compounds (cobalt chloride,cobalt sulfate, cobalt carbonate etc.).These are extended products which CATAL develops with a view to expanding bidiec-tionally form material to its applications.
CATAL moved to CHIA-TAI PARK in 1982 and worked out short-range and long-range developments which include engineering resin, special-purpose catalyst and more promising special polymer material. It timely puts on the market CATEPOXY vinyl ester, a kind of strong acid and alkali-proof engineering resin.This is a high-performance product which can resist strong oxidizing nitric acid(80%aqueous solution) and a great encouragement to CATAL in its further development plan. In 1984, its second major product--CATARAD adiation curable resin in which it has thrown its whole might, was put into small series production in the experimental factory. In 1985, the U.V primer and finish for furniture coating were successfully developed. In 1989, CATAL developed U.V glazing paint for PVC building material such as wall board, ceiling, sliding door etc, then began to set off another growing upwards in the field of commercialized ultraviolet coating. CATAL drew up a development plan of U.V ink 1991 and begen to put on the market a small series production in 1993.CATAL will continue to study and evaluate its further development plans and put into commercialization at an appropriate time. Of course, CATAL will consider the improvement of many other products, so that they will become perfect. To be sure,CATAL does not extravagantly hope to do an immortal deed for the chemical industry of the world, but it is confident that its developing capacity in research and innovation will continue to stride ahead and its service and quality will be more reliable with each passing day. |
